Dominique Roques

Dominique Roques has been sourcing essences and extracts for the perfume industry for over thirty years. He was the head of sourcing at Firmenich, a leading developer of perfumes for the world’s top fragrance luxury brands. He lives in Paris, France.

Stephanie Smee is a literary translator, working mostly from the French, who left a career in law to return to her love of languages. Recent translations include Hélène Gaudy’s A World with No Shore, Joseph Ponthus’ On the Line, and Hannelore Cayre’s The Godmother, winner of the CWA Dagger for Crime Fiction in Translation and a New York Times Notable Book in 2019. Her translation of Françoise Frenkel’s rediscovered WWII memoir, A Bookshop in Berlin, was awarded the JQ-Wingate Prize.
